Go Mike!
CHA Maintenance Officer Michael Chivers pushed to the limits on Sunday past participating a 35 mile charity walk in support of the Camphill Community Mourne Grange. Michael, back row yellow cap, is pictured here at the finish line with fellow participants and Mourne Grange Villagers. Well done to all involved and thank you to our suppliers and friends who kindly donated.
The Rafferty and McVeigh family and friends are raising money to benefit Camphill Community Mourne Grange, Kilkeel. Mourne Grange was established in 1971, and it provides opportunities for adults with different abilities and support needs to live and work together in a supportive and inclusive community. In the Camphill Movement, communities are formed in such a way that the members, whatever their abilities, can help to support the needs of all, while they themselves are supported in turn. The person with learning or social difficulties is accepted as an individual and valued for who they are. All live, work and learn together to form one community.
Our brother Liam first joined Camphill Community in 1996 and moved to Mourne Grange in 2019 . He works on the farm, having the opportunity to learn about looking after the land, the animals and provide a meaningful contribution to the Community. Liam has excelled in Camphill's nurturing environment, allowing him to develop new skills, gain independence and make many new friends. Liam is leading an enriched and fulfilled life thanks to the Camphill ethos.
Mourne Grange, as a registered charity, is engaged in regular fundraising projects. Your donations will go directly to supporting the wellbeing of the Community.

NIFHA Visit to Camphill Community Glencraig
CHA General Manager Billy McCreight had the pleasure of giving Seamus and Izzy of NIFHA a guided tour of Glencraig recently.
Camphill supports people with learning/intellectual disabilities/autism in residential care and employs 370 staff at their Glencraig site alone. This vibrant coastal community provides beautiful homes, alongside its very own farm and chapel, and gives residents the opportunity to contribute to the community and develop self-esteem and a sense of belonging.
